Those instruments are way too generic man -- search out some dope VSTs like Nexus cause the instrumentation here is just too basic -- for real though, it sounds like you just used the presets to the most basic VSTs. Drums needs to be layered up too man -- they're too simple/thin/generic sounding (I suggest Stylus RMX for some dope drums to layer up on each other to get some dopeness going)

Keep at it man, it takes a lot of experimentation and developing your ear (gotta tune those 808s too, or use some less detuned synths)

Definitely need to find a new synth The one on the melody is really hard to take seriously. The drum roll at the beginning sounds kind of awkward. Horns are decent, along with the hats the bass. Fix the other stuff and this would be pretty good. 2nd synth over the main melody isnt that bad either, its just that main synth that doesnt sound appropriate.
