R3ADY: I feel ya here.. Great personal lyrics against a great beat.
No Higher: I remember this track... Guess Jon got the final look, that's cool. Honestly he fits better on this one. Great track, good to see the concept flesh out and completed.
Inhale: Not the biggest fan of Dre-Bandz. He brings good energy to the track, but kinda kills the mellow tone you set from the beginning. A little too hype for the track maybe lol
Slow Music: Very throw'd... It's like its Chopped & Slopped... Good concept...
We All Try: Drake track. Why'd you pitch your voice in the beginning? You can tell that your previous break up effects you pretty deep. You rap a lot about it.
Still Here: Another Drake track. When sequencing the tracks for the tape, make sure you dont put two very similar tracks together. When this hit while I was listening and working, I thought the last song repeated.
So Sorry: Beat is weird... in a bad way... I like how you're trying to go over something different though. Good lyrics and concept. I like this one a lot.
Thrown: What's this beat? Sounds familiar... Great feature. Breezy sounds different than the last time I heard em, but good idea putting him on the first verse.
Smoking Drinking Sitting & Thinking: There's a point with this tape when it starts to veer off into more emotional territory. I guess I was expecting a lotta grimy rhymes. You always put a lot of personal feeling and emotion in your lyrics and it shines in this one. Accompanied by some pretty good production, this is another stand out track on the tape for me. Not a fan of the hook though.
The Reasons Why: That beat is raw....
Young & Proud: Decent track. Like how its not about women and ex gf's... Flow got lazy a little bit at the end of verse 2. Hook is cool.
Ammunition: Drake song. Bars are really solid, with some good subliminals in there. Good metaphor with the bar/shots.
No More Clouds: Why did you use autotune on this Poyo? Good collabo from the two of you.
Don't Lie to Me: ---Already fed the thread
A Flowers Plan: Great lyrics on this one. Inspirational.
That "D": Eh... not feeling this one... Ray was pretty good on this though. The vocals seem lower than the other tracks. Could be a slip up with mixing, who knows. Execution of the concept is good though.
Overall:
Another great entry into your vast catalog of music. A quality JSmooth product that every fan should listen to. Definitely continuing the same level of consistent, quality music that we are to expect. As I said in some of my song notes, I would have love to see you get more aggressive with a few tracks. I feel like this is very similar to True Feelings 2, which isnt surprising since they both were released one after another. Yet still, it would refreshing to hear you spit on some more aggressive beats like you've dropped in The Stu' before the release of this and tackle some different subject matter. A party song here and there, an anthem style track with all your FNF peers, something that would be a bit of fresh air and a departure from what you have going with this. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work and you'll get there!
