Re: Young Fire & Nurse & YME & YNR - The Dungeon
*Sighs*..
My review: (Btw, this is my opinion).
1st guy sounded like a robot. 2nd guy sounded a little better. 3rd guy was better than 1st and 2nd.. Last guy was okayish..
Overall the track was pretty bland..
I'm gonna give you guys some tips and tricks for making a song 20x better!
Recording:
You guys need to learn how to use voice layers..
Rappers don't just record their verse, and that's it.
We rap our verse, then rap our verse over it. Using a different tone of voice, or using a higher pitch, depending on how the beat feels.
Then we add the ad-libs. Which you record only vital parts of the verse to improvise it.
Then you gotta turn down the voice layers to make it sound okay. You have to play around with that to get the right settings really..
Lyrics:
Start to use multies. Multis are key. You should already know what they are.
Expand your vocab. Get out of the habit of using small amateur words like "gang", and rhyme it with "bang". Or "Swag", and rhyme with "fag". That's easy, that's simple. Anyone can do that. You have to get the listeners interested to come back for more.
ALSO, when you're writing, write while listening to the beat. No matter how bored you get of that beat, don't stop listening and writing. Because it's not YOU that you're trying to impress. It's the listeners. So if you thought a beat was fire BEFORE you got bored of it, so will the listeners. Writing while listening to the beat will actually improve your flow on the track. Trust me, I used to write bars before I listened to the beat at the same time, and I sounded like the first guy on the track posted above too.

Advertise your tracks as many places you can once you're good at the above things. One thing NOT to do, is call your own track "hot". Because if it really isn't, then the listeners won't come back, because they'll think that's all you got. When really, you're just a beginner.
How I know all of this?
I've been rapping for 9 years straight.
Why haven't I sent a demo in to any labels? Because even I am learning, and I feel that I could step my rapping up to a whole nother level.
So keep practicing guys, you'll get it!
