  • Sample Beat by CaveatReligion

Here is a pretty plain beat I made, just a sample of what I can do:
    Heres it with some lyrics:

    Heres the instrumental

I am able to make you a beat, just send me a PM, and we can discuss the specifics of what you'd want.

Let me know if you like it or what you don't like!

Uuhhhhm... Not sure what to think of it. It's different but it doesn't even sound like a hip hop beat to me. The drums, melody and some parts are just too simple because you just looped them overall. I think you might have potential but you have to go to the right direction imo.

Thanks for the input. I tried to mirror simple, repeated electronic noises Ive heard, like Wiz Khalifa or I Run this - Birdman. Not to sound LIKE them, but to be in the same genre is my goal.

I can understand these sounds and some beats in general can just sound mediocre without lyrics.

So I wrote somethin to help put the beat in 'context'. This was recorded off my macbook so quality isnt good and I dont usually drop vocals so try to take it as it is.

The funny thing is, i remember when I first started making beats, they would soound kinda like these, real experimental and unfinished. The beats you showed have a really trancey feel, which i don't know if there's a place for that in hiphop, nah mean? You should prolly read more on edm production to give you that edge of technical capabilities. and if you really want to make HIPHOP beats, then you need to study HIPHOP more, nah mean.

I'm definitely feeling the second sample you posted a lot more. Like others have said, it doesn't really sound like a hip-hop instrumental and it's a little rough around the edges, but I'll be listening to whatever else you drop.
