Re: ZOMG ENIGMA's onceinalifetime STUFF
Well shit, I wrote this for English class. Apparently it was supposed to be a take on "Mending Walls" but about King Arthur and his view on boundaries, but I wasn't really paying attention in class as to what I was supposed to write specifically.
Anyway, I decided I would put it in here for the sake of it. It was supposed to be a free verse - Not rhyming, but I did that anyways for about half of it at least. I tried to use metaphors and the like which might be hard to catch on to, not sure.
Why don't you guys try guessing what I'm talking about at certain parts so I have an idea of if I'm making them to hard to understand, such as:
SO if you could read this and answer this question...
What is the heart beating of the city's walls, what causes it?
Walls, the epitome of protection and seclusion,
Yet in their sole purpose have restricted my movements.
I was a curious person, traversing the countryside,
Going on adventures, cold nights until the sun rise.
Being King is more than taking actions for one’s self,
Age has matured my mind and limited my mobility,
Which is when the importance of it all seemed dominating.
Good walls make good neighbors makes a good point,
If all are protected and have less worries they become joint.
The city’s walls are impenetrable arms anointed by the King,
Living but with a heart in them that’s rarely beating.
The people can hear the arms when there are dark clouds,
Zeus thrusting his powers into Earth’s ground playing around.
Then the people cradled like infants focus their ears to the stone.
The heart is beating even though others are striking it,
But this outside bacteria has no chance of invading those vaccinated.
Once again, after a long fought battle the pulse starts to fade away,
Letting all of those in its care know everything is safe.
Which brings us to the disposition that only age could answer,
Venerate the elder walls that continually protect from outside cancer.
