So I played this song for some of my homies...both of them didnt like it. I thought it was decent...
I can understand why you pushed back No Questions to improve it a little. There were definitely some tracks that needed some additional work. This beat like Cli said is great. These words/lyrics: decent. Vince Young hasnt been a Titan for a minute though, so it woulda made more sense if you referenced the Packers, but truthfully he hasnt played for any team majorly for last 2-3 years. Maybe I'm nit-picking a bit, but eh. Some other good punches in there too though. Overall the song was leaps ahead of the previous post of "No Questions". I like the direction everything is going in. Mixing (by Purp) was straight too. Keep it up.
I really fuck with these type of songs when you do them. I'm really anxious to hear your mixtape because you're one of the people here that have their own distinct style that shines through. Flow/delivery is always on point. Lyrically, you have your ups and downs on the song, but nothing was bad and I fuck with the first verse heavy. the beat is nice as fuck, too. I'm trying to imagine this on the mixtape and I don't know where exactly you would place it, I could see it working as an outro pretty well.
So i already mentioned the beat...crazy...lyrically it sounds like your taking a step back...i havent heard you in a min but this doesnt sound like witty poyo...the beat really shined on this one..

Thanks ya. since i got so much unreleased material, im leaning towards droping 2 tapes on the same day. "No Questions" and also "Sleep When I Die" one tape will be more melodic/turnup tracks while the other will be more lyrical/story telling based but both will have a mixture of both... ya think thats a good idea? i just came up with it just now lol..
also Myk what kind of music the 2 people that didnt like it listen too ?

If you listen to my older shit and then listen to this right after you will see i improved lyrically. I just listened to my older shit and all i talked about was superficial shit 95% of the time, now i have a better balance of putting real life situations into my lyrics, it might not be as witty but thats because its real life. To each his own tho... we gotta get that colab out the way... every Cli/Poyo joint is fire lol

it could be. you could also be spreading yourself too thin. There's a couple of genres you do well, so maybe you should find the middle ground among the tracks and make one solid tape? i dunno. things like that are personal preference. There's nothing wrong with getting more material out there.

One's primarily pop/rock/etc, but he listens to a fair amount of rap. The other one is a Shizzy VI fan that listens to a good amount of rap. I primarily float tracks to them to see what I need to fix, but I do send them stuff from here frequently to get their unbiased opinions on them. Kind of like my own personal focus group lol. The first one leans more towards mainstream though so take his opinion for what its worth. The second's more your target demo I think.
