Somebody told me
That it was alright
But deep inside of me
I was scared of the light
And the truth was
He might have been right
Because nothing did ever happen
But in my mind it did
In my dreams
I saw the house
With copper gutters
And checkered shutters
And inside this house
Was the nightmare I feared
The monster stared at me
“Nothing in the way” he sneered
I ran as fast as I could
Through the wheat field
I never did stop
Until I saw the sign
And it said YEILD
And then I woke up
And nothing was there
But then I saw it
Floating through the air
The scent of the monster’s blood covered hair
And I was blinded forever more
Maybe I’m just paranoid
And nothing more
