Welcome to my official beat thread, in this thread I'm gunna post all of my in progress and completed work.

In any way, shape, or form am I good at all. I do this as a hobby, and one day when I get better hopefully this message will be removed from the post

For each update I give for a song I am going to post a comparison, with my own written feedback, and it would be awesome if you would post your own feedback on why you did or didn't like it.

Finished work

Clockwork - THIS IS MY FIRST FINISHED BEAT. It was not meant to be rapped on, only a test for me to get to know FL Studio. No progression to show.

Track 2 - (VER1)/(VER2)/(VER3)/(VER4) - I'm really happy on how this turned out. I feel a lot better about myself and am more confident to do bigger and better things with more people.

So yeah, I started messin around with FL Studio the other day, and now I want to start making beats. I wanted to make this thread to get some opinions on how it sounds and how I can make it better and such. So yeah, first off,

I AM NOT VERY GOOD AT THIS AT ALL. THIS IS TO SHOW MY PROGRESSION!

Its good overall, a little off in some spots but good, not really a beat i could see people rapping too because its so fast and the bpm changes so much it'd be hard to keep track of with your flow. And i HIGHLY suggest downloading some kits because the ones that come with fl are garbage. I can see a lot of talent with your idea for the beat though, cant wait to see some more work for you, and sometimes a simple beat is the best, just start with your bass line, add some 808's or whatever, and build up from that

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking about people rapping to it. It was kinda something to get to know the tools and stuff with. You know of any places I can get some free kits?

Well your using the basics pretty well, Try using some high hats more often, and start using the synths in The sytrus pack.

As a beginner you dont need many kits, just use the Vintage and sytrus packs.

The beat was okay, i know you're still new at it. It wasnt MY style really, but thats just me. It seems like some kinda Usher beat, like OMG. But maybe you should download some kits that give you more professional sounding instruments and stuff, it might help the beats sound more good. But this beat isnt bad at all, i could see someone actually rapping on this.... Keep it up man!

Sounds like youre getting pretty good dude. The new beat definatly sound s like an r&B song, but a good r&b song. Shit with a few tweaks I could hear that shit on the radio lol. Keep going.
