No one cares about mixtapes. That means absolutely nothing. And, in case you haven't noticed, Jay-Z has been absolutely destroying people on their own tracks this year. He has the best verse on Thank Me Later and Teflon Don. While Wayne's features today only consist of random punchlines that say nothing more than "I'm fly, I have money, I have women, I'm the greatest", Jay is dropping features that consist of punchlines that send a message. "Drake, here's how they gonna come at you, with silly rap feuds trying to distract you...in the disguise in the form of a favor...watch for the traitors". "They couldn't do nothin' with me so they put the devil on me (Illuminati claims), I'd prefer if people would squeeze the metal on me...Rumors of Lucifer, I dunno who to trust...whole world wants my demise turn the music up...hear me clearly if you people fear me, just say y'all fear me". "On my third six, but the devil I am not". Wayne's features on "My Generation" and "No Love" are good, but no one in their right mind would say they were better than Jay's.

You're seriously going to call a guy who has two of hip-hop's all-time greatest albums overrated?

Wayne's good and has established a ton of stuff, but you're probably too young to know what all Jay-Z has accomplished in his career and who all he's worked with. Dude's been insane since like '96.

"No one cares about mixtapes. That means absolutely nothing."

Probably the most ignorant comment posted in this thread.
So if one were to break down Drake's career so far, we should only go by Thank Me Later and nothing else? His 3 mixtapes, especially SO FAR GONE, means "absolutely nothing" in terms of what he's accomplished as a rapper? So Far Gone isn't a part of his overall body of work, just because it was a mixtape and not an album?

                Think before you post. Goddamn

Like his last 2 features on My Generation and No Love? Oh wait........

Lots of people already recognized those 2 songs.
Also, there's a thing called credibility.

In 5-10 years, Wayne may be better though...

wayne is yet not better than Jay afaic he's more popular of course but not greater.. jay is more serious and classic than wayne n spits what everyone can understand but he's overall overrated tho imo
I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I seen nights full of pain, days of the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I’m cursed, so never mind
And it’s worse, but better times seem further and beyond
The top gets higher the more that I climb

There is no rapper who has been consistently destroyed on his own tracks as often as Jay-Z has

                      Let's go through them all

                      Eminem destroyed him on Renegade
Rakim destroyed him on The Watcher 2
Biggie got him on Brooklyn's Finest
DMX got him on Money Cash Hoes
Nas got him on Black Republicans
Bun B got him on Big Pimpin
Twista got him on Is That Yo Bitch
Big Boi destroyed him on Poppin Tags
Sauce Money got him on Bring It On
LOX got him on Reservoir Dogs
Amil got him on Can I Get A
Lil Kim got him on What Girls Like
Foxy Brown got him on Sunshine
Kanye West destroyed him on Run This Town
J Cole destroyed him on A Star is Born
Big L got him on that 7-minute freestyle (I know it's not a song, but still)

Most overrated rapper in history, BY FAR. He's a good rapper who's been fortunate to consistently have the tightest production throughout his career. Which is another thing nobody ever mentions. Jay gets his hands on the illest beats that make his vocals sound a lot better.
