Jay-Z reivented himself and got tired of the mainstream and went back to his old self except for the album Blue print. And still he went platinum for every single album. Not only that Wayne said he is tryna do everything Jay-Z taught him. Except he wants to go beyond, but wayne got too caught up in money and that is where he failed. Because jay-Z still reamained humble and that why he is so successful and built an empire. Unless weezy do some shit like 99 problems and kill lil wayne and start being dwayne carter .

Lil Wayne just needs to start listening...go on blogs sites and see the reaction, go on youtube and peep the responses........Does he even listen to his old stuff, how can he listen to Dedication 2 and Carter 1 and 2 and be satisfied with using Im in the building twice in the same song..I still like Wayne alot but right now I am a fan of what he used to be because what he has been for the past year and a half is a little above average rapper that has lost his hunger for music....you can almost take a wayne feature verse and add it to any song and it will sound like he has recorded it for that song...no uniqueness anymore...before he might start with a nursery rhyme or rhyme with spelling words or some sick type of flow...now.....AB and then Im Hot as BC im fly like CD fuck the world like DE....I'm not hating but I mean Carter 4 to me is gonna be a bench mark...because with Rebirth and IANAHB he sold under 200k each in his first week...and that is a drop from being in the category of Eminem, Kanye West, now (Drake), Even Nicki, Jay Z...He and 50 Cent has now joined the categories of Kid Cudi, Rick Ross, The Game...in terms of sales....SMH

Great post!! I'm the same way, I've hardly been listening to anything past 2008.

Wayne needs to just take a listen to his old stuff. I know he said he wants to move forward blah, blah, blah, but I want him to really be able to shut these haters up! Listening to some old things might bring him back to being that monster.

I wish someone with a Twitter would send a Youtube link of some S. Q. 4 - Tha Carter III stuff to his just so he can hear and be like "This shit is raw as hell!"
