His mixtapes proved he was the best, not his albums. "Lollipop" is not selling out, its what was needed in that climate plus Wayne had begun to experiment way before lollipop. Lollipop didn't come outa nowhere, do your research.

Yes, Ye is a better overall artist than Wayne and probably a better rapper as well.

Your logic fails, if you don't want to bring up critics (who are well respected across the music industry); lets talk about awards. Kanye has won 14 Grammy's compared to Wayne's 4. Shit Kanye has won more Grammy's than Wayne has been nominated in (14-10).
What else is there, maybe you'll say C3 sold 1 million. Well I'm sure if you found the average of all Wayne's album sales compared to Kanye's that Kanye would win. (Give me 10-30 mins and I'll give you a definitive answer)
So all logical points to Kanye>Wayne. So if you have any other logical answers tell me.

Edit- Kanye first week sales average is 677,036. (I'm not taking MBDTF into account as the sales aren't out yet.)
Wayne- Can't get a definative answer as I can only find CIII, Rebirth and IANAHB sales.

I beleive we were talking about rapper SKILL not rapper popularity ... , wayne blows kayne out of the water it terms of skill . Kanye's flow is NO WHERE as good as it used to be. Of course I consider Eminem a better rapper but To me comparing eminem and wayne is comparing Apples to oranges. I buy recovery if I wanna hear raw rap and c4 if I wanna hear a diffrent kind of rap.
