Theres gonna be raw rap on C4. I promise you. The song with Kiss, Tech, Em, Kanye. All those songs will be nasty rap tracks. Hes also going to have deep rap songs (Anne, Nightmares on the Bottom). Like I said, a little bit of everything. He needed a mainstream type song to get buzz going for the album, and thats what How To Love is. Im pretty sure there wont be any other songs like it on C4.

Wayne is following the same steps again it looks like. You don't have to be a sell out to have a great variety as an artist. Look at Dr. Carter - that's one of the most creative songs I've heard and it's straight rap. Wayne needs to find his roots again.
C3 is weaker than C2 and C1 cuz of filler songs like that song with juelz, phone home, and it being weaker lyrically. NOT becuase its diverse.

You do know C2 had songs for for clubs, females, etc aswell right? ppl just be talkin i swear.

not tryna argue and shit but they were Hip-Hop songs not bubble gum rap tbh

but after Lollipop blew up he's almost destine to do shit like for every album. Wayne sold out a long time ago... not all his songs are gonna be like this but not all his songs are gonna be that "raw rap" or w/e

idk why people are mad though, I expected the single to sound something like this

Yeah I dont call it selling out tho. Its evolving.

Imagine if he released "earthquake" as a single now, Straight flop.

Not everyone is gonna like songs like this. Annoying that if someone says they don't like it then they're not true wayne fans..

I like the song, I personally wouldn't want it or anything else like it on TCIV but it's not up to me...
"Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
                  Guns and stretchers
                  Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines

"You Ain't Got Nothin On Me" (w/ Juelz & Fabo) was straight rap with no gimmicks, I have no problem with that song. Phone Home was straight shit. La La was shit. Those were filler songs. Wayne lost respect because of those, AND the gimmicky pop/bubblegum songs like Mrs Officer, Comfortable, Lollipop, ect.

Take a look back at C3 and look at what songs were straight rap from Wayne. 3peat, Mr. Carter, A Milli, Dr. Carter, Let the Beat Build, Shoot Me Down, Playing With Fire, Tie My Hands, You Ain't Got Nothin On Me, and i'll give you Misunderstood despite it being two verses and 7 minutes of speech. That's 10 out of 16 songs. 3 out of 4 singles were bubblegum rap, pop songs.

Find me a song on C2 that is comparable to Get Money, Lollipop, Mrs Officer, Comfortable, ect. Receipt is the only song I can think of, and just because the beat is more upbeat than all the other songs. That is Wayne's roots.

I don't blame Wayne for "selling out" with Lollipop, because that is exactly what that was. He changed his style up to appeal to wider audiences on C3. But I think it was hypocritical when he builds himself up to be the Best Rapper Alive then doesn't even release a 'rap' album when it's his time to seal the throne. That's why he won't ever be considered the Best Ever by the majority of the sources and why C3 wasn't one of the GOAT when it easily could have been.

Being the best artist alive>>>Being the best rapper alive.

His mixtapes proved he was the best, not his albums. "Lollipop" is not selling out, its what was needed in that climate plus Wayne had begun to experiment way before lollipop. Lollipop didn't come outa nowhere, do your research.

Bottom line, the guy still rapes rap songs and Carter IV will continue that trend and will be respected as what C3 should've been. And thats a wrap on that arguement.
