It's ridiculous how people can't understand what Drake means by Started from the bottom. To start from the bottom doesn't necessarily mean to be born from a crackhead mother, a deadbeat father and slinging meth in the hood to feed your little baby sister. Sure, Drake was on TV. He was on Degrassi. Acting in a Canadian Teen TV Show doesn't pay that much. His mother was an educator, and yes they were living in Forest Hill but they didn't own the house. The rented half of it. Another family was living in the other part of the house. Watch Abrey Graham on Degrassi Unscripted if you never did. Sure he didn't come from the hood but he wasn't a rich kid neither. I bumped Forever for months before even knowing Drake was actually Jimmy from a show I watched my whole childhood. Of course it helped launched his career but it's not the only reason he came up.
