So I read Ego Trip's Book of Rap Lists (HIGHLY recommended to those who love rap/hip-hop and I hope they do an update of the book soon) and on page 161 is Cash Money Records' Rules (As Posted at The Cash Money Offices By CEO Bryan "Baby" Williams). The rules are about 14 years old, but I figure it's interesting to know whether many of those rules still apply lol!
Rules as written by Birdman himself
1. U Can't Be Baby!!
2. U Must Know When 2 Go Home.
3. Your Problem Is Your Problem.
4. Rappers Take Drug Test: "No Heroin Or Coke."
5. No Benz On 1st Album (Only The CEOs & Producer - 6 Years Of Experience)
6. Promotional Shows Are A Must.
7. Royalty Paid When Royalty Due.
8. No Advances From M.F. (Mannie Fresh)
9. U Artists Are An Investment
10. No Friends In Studio Sessions.
11. Baby Has A Favoritism With Certain Rappers.
12. Your Reputation Is More Valuable Than "Hoes."
13. Keep Hoes Out Of Your Business.
14. U Don't Work, U Don't Eat
