Did you see the video and read the story? He stated that somebody hit in the head, thus the memory loss. I believe it may had been caused by an injury in Vietnam. Also, after years believing that your son is dead and without seeing him, it would be hard to recognize him after the gained weight and memory loss, not to mention the unkempt appearance.
