A bit late but just watched the United game. A lot of people saying that United needed that one piece of brilliance to win the game. I don't see it, it took a deflection for City to score, and a very unlikely one. So they can spend as much money as they want, they still can't beat united. Giggs is just amazing, to me it looks like that guy could play another 2-3 seasons. He is forever young. I can see the decline in Scholes though, he really just floated in and out and I think this will be his last season. Was surprised Park didn't play but I guess they wanted experience. Also thought bringing in O'Shea was a smart move because Rafael can make stupid decisions in big games, plus we needed the extra muscle to deal with the stronger and more technical players, ie Dzeko, Toure. Mancini picked the right tactics but really his players didn't perform. I thought Smalling was amazing and reminded me of Ferdinand in his prime, and for 21 years old he is one of the most mature and composed Centre backs there is. He is the future of that defense no doubt. We still lack a central midfield creative player, I really like Anderson but he is very hot and cold. I would be scared if I was another team because we still haven't reached our peak yet. Our team has yet to click into gear for a full 90. Also we have had to do it without Rooney for most of it so you can imagine what would happen if Rooney was scoring.
I also heard Valencia is coming back in 2-3 weeks. I don't think he will get to play that much, because that will be the business end of the season and he will not adjust that quick to the speed and getting his fitness up too.
I thought Silva was the only decent player for City, and VDS showed his experience when he broke through and couldn't squeeze it through.
Next game against Crawley Town. Hopefully see more Lindegaard, Bebe and Fabio. I also think Owen deserves a game.Real G's move in silence like Lasagna
