I'm still on the first season...but I think in episode 6 or 7 when Dexter killed this guy and his wife...because they were killing Cubans....and dumped them in the sea...but in the following episode the body is found in the husbands junk car lot...and Dex says he is doing this to get back at me...for not killing the security guard

this new season sucks dick. sorry guys. i love dexter, but here's my reasoning

- weak writing: it's been VERY obvious dr. gellar wasn't real, if they were going to go the "fight club" route they should have been more subtle.
- mos def killed off early: mos was the best thing about this season, and even though he turned out not to be a killer, i wish he had a bigger role.
- allusions to past seasons: horseshit! the writers are trying to draw audiences back in by throwing in odes and plotlines from the show's best previous seasons. the prosthetic hand from season 1, the trinity killer's son making a reappearance, etc.

also - dexter isn't as smart this season as he has been in other seasons. i mean shit, didn't dex learn his lesson in when NOT to get involved with miami metro's cases? shit, he even took a pen from a motel he stayed at when he vacationed off to kill someone.

just isn't the same. i'm still a fan and will watch until the show comes to an end, but they're getting sloppy.
