Em Im a tad confused now. Saw a post not to long ago with a dude asking almost the same question getting responses like "NOOO dude dont do it, Dont fuck up the friendship etc etc" A girl asking the same question and the answers become " go for it, ye u shoud def try, give him a hint" etc. And hints dont fucking work on guys unless U type it out on a fryingpan and hit him over the head with it

Ive done this once, dated a long time friend. But my senario was more of we always had an interest in echother but we were never single at the same time. I think this is like 10y ago now >.< But anyway, when we finaly were single both at once we said, hell, well lets give it a try, what do we have to lose? Well Ill tell you what I lost, a good friend and my patience, cause apperantly he was a totaly different dude with the girls he dated. He would never ever leave me alone. He wanted to be around 24/7 and Im nothing like that, I cant stand when ppl wanna follow me around like a stray puppy always looking to me to get entertained etc. etc.

Not gonna go through the whole story but the "feelings" I did have for him vanished, and fast. I tried to get through it but we were just to different in our way so in the end all this rage building inside of me came out in a very bad way and I just told him to Leave me the fuck alone for 10 mins and go entertain himself. I knew it wernt gonna last. We split as "friends" again but it will never be the same friendship. I lost a friend but gaind a lifelesson.

I cant say if I regret it. life is to short to not try, its what I say. If U think it can be a good thing in the end its worth it tbh. U might lose a god friend but U just might gain a great lover, u never know. I didnt, but I could have and thats probably why I dont QQ about it happening ether.
