Thoughts on the Reputation System

I'm just trying to collect everyone's thoughts on our reputation system and whether it should stay or go, be tweaked, or anything else you guys would like to say.

Discuss and answer the poll.

Keep - Leave it alone, it is nice.
Remove - Get rid of it, it is pointless.
Tweak - I like it, but it could use some changes.
Replace - There are better reputation systems that you could use.

Im not really bothered about it But I cant see anything wrong with it. Its quite a good system IMO.

Hmmm, I kinda like it how it is. But I'm stuck between Tweak or replace.


We could replace with only the "Thanked" system but not many people seem to like that...

Maybe see what else we can have? What can we even tweak about the rep system?

Tweak it. Half the time when I go to rep someone nothing happens and then when I click it again I'm told I need to spread rep.

"You have to spread reputation around before giving a user reputation that you have recently read, as you may know when you've gone to give someone reputation that you recently gave it'll say something like "Spread reputation around before repping this *user* again"

You have to rep 10 people before you can rep that person again..For example if I rep artille now, I have to give out rep to 10 different people before I can give Artille reputation again, hence why it says spread it around...kthx!

Actually, yes, I have read that. But in some cases I've been able to rep someone, it not work, then go another thread and it will let me rep that same person that I couldn't earlier, even without giving rep to 10 other people. I can sometimes even refresh the page and then it will work.
