When did I say any of that? I said the Spurs play basketball the right way: as a team. Like I've always said, in the Playoffs the superstar theory upholds. That's why we haven't won a ring in 7 years, because Parker, as good a player as he is, is not a #1 option on a championship squad. I mean, the closest we got to winning was last year, and that was with Timmy being the best player again

It's a matchup problem. If OKC met Miami in the Finals, they'd get annihilated in 5 like they did in 2012. However, if the Spurs got the Finals we'd have a much better chance of beating the Heat.

We made the Finals last year because Timmy turned back the clock and became a top 7 player in the league. Parker also had one of his best seasons. We're more balanced this year but the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th man on the Spurs will play very few minutes in the post-season, so it kinda evens itself out.

We can beat the Thunder, but they just have our number. And, as much as I hate saying this, the refs (game 6 of the 2012 WCF was one of the worst in recent years).

I think we are a better team than last year. Duncan is not as good, Parker isn't either, but Marco, Mills and Diaw have all been major improvements. I personally think we'd be the best Western Conference team to beat the Heat. Literally nobody is better at preparing for LeBron than Pop.

Yeah, our longest streak was in 2012 as some of the games went into the Playoffs.

I think we can beat OKC. We're better than we were in 2012 and, at the moment, they're significantly worse. Harden went crazy on us in 2012 and Ibaka wasn't missing a shot.

Again, where in any of those posts did I say we were the favourites or that we would win it all this year? We do have the best team in the league, but a bad matchup is a bad matchup. We can beat OKC, but it's very unlikely -- and we shouldn't really be able to.

And this is the best team the Spurs have had. But we had a much better chance of winning rings in Duncan's prime -- you know, because he's one of the greatest players of all time (you may only think he's top 50 or worse than Allen Iverson, but Duncan is unanimously considered a top 10 all-time player and way ahead of Iverson as well).

Yeah, they'll be very important. But how many teams without a clear-cut top 10 player in the league has won a ring? The Pistons in '04, and that's really about it. Unless Duncan and Tony play like the 2007 versions of themselves, it'll be a real uphill struggle: improbable but not impossible.

Right???? Or Your A Prisoner Of The Moment ??????

I'll say it again: matchups. We can't beat OKC; OKC can't beat the Heat. We can beat the Heat. So who's really the best team?

And when I say the best team, I mean it's the most balanced. Obviously we were better when Duncan was in his prime, because he's one of the greatest players of all time.

              • OKC has a better chance against Miami than San Antonio.

Durant is way to raw.... That alone gives OKC at least a better chance.
