I feel like LFTU is K.R.I.T.'s 2nd best tape next to KWH though
and I'm also a fan since KRIT Wuz Here lol, you're not alone

grouprips for both albums should drop by Wednesday/Thrusday! Curren$y's gonna drop his best album since Pilot Talk 1
I remember you only first heard the album many months after it dropped. I actually been checking out KRIT since The Last King. I think he made better music back then. Now he is known as some dirty south rapper and thats it, so that's the only music he makes. He was more versatile before he had to make music to please peoples ears.

That's true, but what exactly does this change lol?

He was way more "southern" back then too

and it's basically a known fact that artists make the best music during their struggle times --> KWH

I still don't see how you can like his early work and already "hate" on this, he's not even really famous right now...still time to hate when he sells out, just like Coley Cole
THIS AIN'T NOTHING TO RELATE TO.

It changes nothing, just pointing it out.

And I have no problem with KRIT making southern music. I'm from the south so I'm used to that music lol. But I do have a problem with his lack of diversity and originality lately.

And I don't even call this selling out if thats what you think I mean. Its more like KRIT saw that people were in search of some true Southern music, so he just went straight with that approach. It affected him bad imo because like I said, it sounds like the same song every time I play his shit.

And I don't even think Cole sold out really imo. You have to make a certain type of record to reach radios. Radio play = more listeners/more fans, more sales, etc. It would be dumb of an artist who is still making their way into the top of hip hop, or even the veterans of the game, to not put at least a radio song or two on their album... at least for the singles.

You really think radios wanna play songs like Lost Ones? They want people to enjoy the music they play on the radio, not be calm over it.

K.R.I.T. is not Outkast with their diversity lol, I guess he wanted to stay true to his roots with his debut...maybe we see him think outside of the box in the future

The problem here is just that Cole is one of the artists that got famous for a song that doesn't even represent what he stands for!

Cole is more one of the storytelling/conscious type of rappers and that's kind of lame to drop Work Out when you're about to drop the 2011 Illmatic

I think he had to do it though, he had a lot of hype and was the first rapper on Jay's Roc Nation...they expected him to sell

ayy this SGP album is wavy
