What's the difference between those file types when it comes to graphics?

JPEG is a small size file format so instead of a signature being 93KB JPEG will make it 19KB but this usually always loses the qualtiy because of the low level memory it saves it in.

Which is why saving as .PNG is good to keep it high quality
