and i'm assuming she hasn't "beaten" it up or anything... you should be great dude. that car ran so smooth, so smooth in fact, that i'm thinkin about gettin that new Sonata Turbo. that whip is nasty.

nah it ain't beat up, but the paint is HORRIBLE.

i got it with like 80k miles, drove it up to 120k+. the a/c was perfect, the steering was good, it was a safe car. it had enough "get up and go" that it never felt underpowered. the stock speakers were decent, but still needed bass, one-10" sub was enough, but i had to get 2. the backset has pretty good room, the trunk had plent of space. it ran really well. had no complaints at all.

oh and yours is stick-shift right? cuz mine was too, and it was really REALLY good on gas. easily 30+mpg. not the best looking car i ever had, or the fastest, or the coolest, but it was one of the best "running" cars i had. easily.

Yeah, stick :/ That's another reason why i'm worried, i HATE driving with two feet hahaha it feels so un-natural.

i wouldnt do much with the exhaust, maybe just a muffler and exhaust tip. the intake will help a lot. but the exhaust will be a little "whiney".

as long as you have enough wattage from your amps to power your subs, you'll be fine. ask the installers/pro's what you'll need, cuz most subs run different level watts. it wont look like anything special, but who the fuck cares. i felt like a baller cuz the system knocked and i had the hottest music bumpin. and so will you.

I've been looking at YT video's and i think i'm gonna go with an N1 exhaust, they have that low rumble to them, on the Elantra.

And yeah, will do with the system. I'll ask my uncle or brother, both were installers for systems.

if you're gonna do it, do it right. make sure you get a COLD-air intake, that'll help with the "depth" of sound. and if you can afford it, go with a cat-back system... unless you're gonna go full header-back system. but thats gettin up there in price.

oh and another thing, make sure the muffler/tip is not pointed down, or sideways, cuz that just looks awful. you might have to have something custom, because as i remember, the rear of the Elantra's dont have a cut-out for the stock exhaust. and nothing looks worse than having a big muffler/tip hangin off the bottom.

I'll deff keep that in mind, once i get the cosmetic part of the car started. Right now, i gotta fix the struts on the car.

Yeah, that's the only real problem it has that i know of, because it bounces like a bitch on the road

After that, i'll probably get a paint job. THEN the internals/externals.
