No he’s playing actual Morpheus, not sure of context as to why he’s younger but ya. Confirmed to be Morpheus.

There’s scenes where you can see Neo is “watching” scenes from the old movies. So people have theorized that this movie the robots kept Neo alive after last movie and put him in a world where he’s an actor who made the matrix movies. And that trinity we see in the trailer is a program because they know how important she is to Neo for decision making (won’t leave matrix now because she is in it/part of it) , and the young Morpheus is a program made by older one once he dies to go get him idk. Movie has a lot to explain lol
