Is God Real?

Had this thread before. I am a Athiest, I personally don't believe in God or any religious bullshit. I can't believe in a god or similar whilst there is so much bad in the world. I can't buy into that everything happens for a reason cos I tell you now, things like Rape, Cancer, Child Abuse etc do not happen for any good reason.

But on the other hand I completely understand and do not abuse or look down on anybody that believes in God. For the simple reason that I understand in this kind of world we live in, people need a stronger being, something beyond to believe in to get through life. Some people just wouldn't be able to handle life and go on living if they didn't believe in a God and I don't blame them. And also at the same time feel a little sad for them.

But then on the other hand some of the most horrid things in the world & the worst catastrophes ever all happen because of religion. Imo if there was no religion and the world puffed the herb it would be a much better place.

But yeah thats my little take on it & personal beliefs and opinions. For anyone not religious and want a little laugh, watch 'Religulous', it's pretty hilarious for us Athiests.

No, god is NOT real. Something does not necessarily exist just because you can't prove that it doesn't!!!


There are a ton of different religions in this world, all conflicting, and millions of people are sure in their own minds they've got it right. At the end of the day, the religion that they convinced themselves was accurate was likely determied by geographic location. it's all very silly imo


as far as "religion gives people 'good' initiatives, and makes the world 'a better place'", BULLSHIT - imo flying planes into buildings on 9/11 was a faith-based initiative.

You Kuzz say that you don't beleive in god coz of all the bad in the world (I respect your opinoin), but what's the meaning of life if there is no good and bad?. I mean, the universe is all about being in equilibrium, everything is balanced. I mean even the richest ppl have problems, the most powerful ppl have problems, and like last time you got someone like lil Wayne that has everything anyone wish to have said "sometimes it's hard to me sometimes". Everything should be balanced in life so you can find a meaning to it.

Now if we imagine life to be all good and there isn't any bad around us at all, then why would ppl even try for anything? If everything is good in their life then why would I as a person work hard on my self to achieve something? Since I got all the good I need. Don't you think if there is no bad we won't reach to this level of technology and all these intelligence in this world? We would probably be on some lazy shit living life with no thoughts of nothing, coz we would have every good we need.

I'm not sure do I believe in god but I don't believe in religion. I feel like there are so many different and big religions that only one coul possibly be right and since there are so mant religions, all other religions would be fake. Since the beginning of time humans have ben afraid of the dead because u don't know what happens aftet it. If u now think about death, you don't want to believe that there will be nothing after it.

So I think religions are just a way to give us the relief that there will be somethingafte we die. If u look at all the religions, everyone has a own thing that what comes after death.

Let's put it this way. Look at the world around you. There's no way way in hell this is the result of an explosion billions of years ago, that's for sure.

If evolution had it's way there'd be no feelings. (another reason why it's still referred to as a "theory") How do happiness and anger help you survive?!

Second of all, Evolution is not a theory, people give theorys on something unknown, for example the rings of saturn, nobody knows what they are exactly, so scientist give theorys of what they are. evolution is real, did a superior being create evolution? maybe, maybe not. please dont be ignorent by just shrugging the big bang theory off because of your religion, because a god could of created the universe, which created earth, which created evolution.

Religion has not been proven weather you want to believe it or not

BUT even if you believe in god or not something STILL made the empty space that hosts all the things that are or where needed to create the big bang theory.

and really. The only meaning to life is to just live it.

Theirs no divine answer to that, and the reason theirs good and evil is lets face it.

Religion is training wheels for life. to make us into respectable people who can act and function in a society so we as a community can grow and evolve into something better and better

The first time I went to church was in the United States with my friend's family. Everything was like in the movies, the singing the praying everything. Then the Pastor/Preacher went to the stand and said a blessing amen yada yada yada. Then he said something that made my head explode. He said "If everyone believed in God, there would be no hungry." I stood up and walked home. I was so angry, like it was a slap to the face. I've seen my classmates back in Argentina starve, eating out of the garbage, kids missing school to go work on farms or sell drugs, these kids were about 6 - 7 years old, these kids were always the first ones to pray in class, or could recite the bible verses like nothing.

I think the idea of church is a good idea, but when I went there I did not feel welcome at all. Everything about that place revolved around donating to the church, every 15 minutes you were reminded that the church wanted to redo the parking lot and needed funds for it. Everyone I'm assuming because of what I witnessed about my friends family put on an act once they entered the doors, my friends father, a heavy alcoholic (bipolar asshole) pretended to be the most well dimmed person along with his wife.

No I do not think any god exists. I don't need religion to be a good person.

And I can't really source myself on this one but i think the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim God is the same god, just different concept of the trinity.

Thats a very fair point mate, but nothing will ever change my beliefs on the matter! Because that is only one factor of many that make me believe what I do. I just can't believe in God. I think we are here to experience life as we want and die.

I had to go to Church the other Sunday for a friends daughters christening and I hated everything about it. Being forced into a religion before you even have the choice to make your own mind up. Thats just not right. I sat there in silence through out the entire display, didn't mutter a word of religious quotes and shit that they make everyone say.

It's just the way I feel about it all, which is very strongly. As I said I understand people need to believe in God and shit and I respect them 100% for their own opinion and beliefs and would never look down on them, but it's just the way it is. Maybe i've seen too much hurt in my life by the age of only 20 that it makes me not wanna believe. Trust me I'd love for there to be a God but I believe what I see. And thats a shit hole world full of hypocritical, ignorant, anal, assholes. Society in England is just appalling and I hate everything about it. The only thing that keeps me happy is my family and friends and my good expierences like Holidays, smoking weed, and Weezy.
