  • How did you become a music fan?

    Whats your musical story.

    Here's my super cool story.
Growing up both my parents were fans of music mom a Jay-z fan dad a Nas/Metalica/Outkast/Jimmi Hendrix fan and both of them love R&B. They brought pretty much every album and I would listen to some. At 5 I decided Usher is my real dad, Jay- was my favorite rapper and I like moon walking to Michael Jackson. 2001 I found out I like outkast and I heard ether listening to my dad's favorite album at the time even though I was young that shit hurt my feelings lol. 2003 Speakerboxx/love below>Get Rich Or Die Trying>>>>feel year. In 2004 good year Confessions and College Dropout I liked some luda and I liked the wayne tracks I heard on tv and the radio but he wasnt my fav yet. 2005 Kanye was my fav but I heard diamonds are forever remix and I cryed Jay-z was my fav again...so one day in a best buy I see tha carter II i remember go dj and fireman and said daddy buy this for me I got it shooter and hustlers musik>>>>>>>> and wayne became my fav artist got tha carter 1 and until 2008 I listened to 85% wayne and my mom hated it. I heard Ransom in 08 because I had to have every Wayne song then said who is Drake he killed it found comeback season and heres my second fav rapper. 09 I heard So Far Gone and the shit changed my life.

after I graduated in 2010, I saved up enough money for a laptop. then I downloaded whatever the fuck I could. until then it was just the radio.
some of us have parents that spent all their money on putting roofs over our heads, and couldn't just buy every album we asked for.

My first rap song I actually heard, and I remember this so clearly, was when I was in 3rd grade and we went in the store borders and I remmeber hearing young buck. Lol it was welcome to cashville.
After that young buck became my fav, then 50 cent
Until 07 when I started listening to more Wayne, Then carter 3 just blew me away.
The borders should be illegal instead of the people, who were here before the bible and all of its sequels

i used to barely listen to music but what i did listen to was arcade fire/green day/jack johnson (still like all of these) and i somehow happened to see this wayne interview right before the grammys and he just had so much fuckin swag and charisma that it brought me in and ive been a giant fan of wayne for years now. as of now im a huge hip hop head and am really into music in general.

The MBDTF album & Runaway video was kinda when I got real deep into music... Before it was just something i gave attention to occasionally, but that video & that album changed my life, tbh.

I was always a fan of music, ever since i could remember. I use to always be in the Car just singing whatever was on the radio. Jay, TLC, Aaliyah, all that. I use to remember singing Marvins Sexual Healing when was real small lol. The first time I took music real real serious is when I bought T.I's King Album when it first came out when I was like 10 or 11.
