Limewire used to play second fiddle to other programs until a little later. You remember kids used to be all about Kazaa until they figured out about all that malware and shit.
But we all know slsk is where it's at now.
Purple Rain was the first album I listened too due to my mother. The first song I recollect liking is Wonderwall by Oasis. The Marshall Mathers LP was the first hip hop album I listened too at the ripe age of 5/6. Didn't understand a damn thing but the cool kids listened to it so I had too as well.
Here's my super cool story.
Growing up both my parents were fans of music mom a Jay-z fan dad a Nas/Metalica/Outkast/Jimmi Hendrix fan and both of them love R&B. They brought pretty much every album and I would listen to some. At 5 I decided Usher is my real dad, Jay- was my favorite rapper and I like moon walking to Michael Jackson. 2001 I found out I like outkast and I heard ether listening to my dad's favorite album at the time even though I was young that shit hurt my feelings lol. 2003 Speakerboxx/love below>Get Rich Or Die Trying>>>>feel year. In 2004 good year Confessions and College Dropout I liked some luda and I liked the wayne tracks I heard on tv and the radio but he wasnt my fav yet. 2005 Kanye was my fav but I heard diamonds are forever remix and I cryed Jay-z was my fav again...so one day in a best buy I see tha carter II i remember go dj and fireman and said daddy buy this for me I got it shooter and hustlers musik>>>>>>>> and wayne became my fav artist got tha carter 1 and until 2008 I listened to 85% wayne and my mom hated it. I heard Ransom in 08 because I had to have every Wayne song then said who is Drake he killed it found comeback season and heres my second fav rapper. 09 I heard So Far Gone and the shit changed my life.

Started listening to music after I heard "these boots are made for walking"
My friend downloaded Ultimate Victory album to his phone in 2008 and listened to it a lot. Then i downloaded that album too and later bought it. Been listening to rap ever since.
My parents always played MJs greatist hits in the car, so I knew most of his songs at a very early age
When I was 10 .. me and the boys was all about G-Unit and 50 ..
I didn't know what an album was so I'd only heard In da Club and P.I.M.P
I then heard Drop It Like Its Hot by Snoop and became a huge rap fan
It was around the same time I found out about LimeWire and I downloaded like every rap song I could find
Some Eminem shit, Lil Jon, Bubba Sparxxxx, Ying Yang Twinz etc etc
The Marshall Mathers LP was the first hip hop album I listened too at the ripe age of 5/6. Didn't understand a damn thing but the cool kids listened to it so I had too as well.
