AVG Anti-Virus Software - Best thing around, but will not do a thing if another anti-virus software is installed

Malwarebytes: Anti-Malware Software - If your comp links you to random things from a google search or when you click a link etc then it is probably Malware, it's not harmful just annoying

Smart Popup Blocker - Goes that bit further and will stop 99.9% of all popups on the net and cleans cookies etc..

don't listen to dude above me, all those anti virus & malware progams suck expect if you get the full version of malware bytes with real time protaction.

Anyone that needs help with comptuers (mainly windows) hit me up

Actually his programs worked really good. They helped my computer cause i had a big virus on my computer before he sent me those links. And its like gone. Im not saying your programs aint good. But his did work.

But i got a question too. I got sent this "Rebirth" file. Its supposedly the real Rebirth. I dont think it is, but it has a few tracks i think that arent out yet. When i try to listen to it or open with any media player, it says "Files are corrupted". Anyone can give me help to fix it? This would benefit us all...

the file is most likly unreadable with window media try itunes or quicktime and see if it plays, if the problem still occurs it's probably a virus. AVG has only a 75% success rate in detecting virus, trojans, malware, spyware etc... i would adivse you get either nod32, kaspersky, or mcafee for reliable anti virus software.

Oh well i tried opening it in Quicktime, iTunes, and Windows Media Player. Didnt work. It didnt come up as a virus though.

And if anyone is wondering why i think its the real version or at least has some exclusive songs on it. This is why.. In a interview from a couple days ago, Nicki said she was on Rebirth. And on the version i have, shes listed on the title of one of the songs. And i dont think a "rock type" song has came out featuring Nicki yet..

Lol JRock I work on comps for a living I know what works and what doesn't

Funny that I use all those programs and not once do I ever have a problem with my comps at work or at home. Everyone I work with uses the same things and still not a single problem and with the amount of sites browsed and downloaded software etc etc you would expect at least one, but no nothing. That's because everything I listed does the job correctly. AVG picks up more than 75%, AVG 8.1 picks up around 85% and the link I think is for AVG 9 which is even better than 8.1. You don't need to pay for full products it's pointless when the free versions will do all you need, you only need to ever pay for something like malbytes if you work in a big office and you put it on the server to stop anything on anyones comp getting malware

And Skim, if you locate the files, right click, properties and then see if they are locked as they came from another source, if you upload them somewhere so I can download I might be able to get them fixed if possible

They are not locked. Ill upload one of the files, and send it to you. Imma send you a song off of it thats already been released. Cause if you figure out a way to fix it, i wanna be the first to hear it an exclusive lol. But ill upload one right now.

Just to cosign the antivirus post. If you run it and it still doesn't take the virus off, run your computer in safe mode THEN go back and rerun the antivirus software. You can't delete a program that's currently running, and if a virus is messing up your computer, its running. So when you run your computer in safe mode it only turns on the minimum files needed to start your computer.

Someone else can say how to run it in safe mode. Some computers have just a button that you click when you shut it down, but I know mine is weird and you have to run some file and change settings and all this bullshit.

Yeah cool, I wasn't really too fussed which song or songs you wanted me to try on to start with haha.

But yeah if it works I'll PM you how to fix them so you can have your exclusive first listen, if not you may have to send me them to be fixed, Got a couple pieces of software here at work which fix like any corrupt file, just have to wait and see though
