Does anyone know why when i try to sign into MSN live messenger it gives me this error... Error Code: 80040154 :suprised:

Found this online which may be of some help, let me know if not bro

Cause: MSXML library may be corrupted and may have to be reinstalled

Troubleshooting steps:

Step 1. Re-register msxml3.dll

- Click on the Start menu, select Run and type the following:
Regsvr32 %windir%\system32\msxml3.dll

Hopefully, you will see a window popup that says: DllRegisterServer succeeded in C:\Windows\System32\msxml3.dll is succeeded.

Step 2. Restart your computer and sign into Messenger again

If no good then try to reinstall MSXML3

a. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

b. At the bottom of the page click on the link to msxml3.msi and move through the steps to complete installation.

Step 3. Restart your computer and sign into Messenger again.

Try upgrading to the latest version of msn, that apparently is another possible fix

Well according to Microsoft if neither of those two things work then you just have to keep trying to log on and it should eventually work :suprised:

Ugh, i dont get why it stopped working? It was just working yesterday? And ive tried to log on like 1000000 times.

Ugh, i dont get why it stopped working? It was just working yesterday? And ive tried to log on like 1000000 times.

Honestly I have no idea as to why it's done that. I mean the fix I put up said that it's the MSXML library that seems to have the problem, but if you did both of those things and still no use and you have the latest version of Live Messanger then all it said was just keep trying to log on. Microsoft suck balls at times

Hahah do you know any other programs i can sign into MSN from, but not Windows Live Messenger.

It's probably the crappiest way ever, but the first thing that I can think of is go to google and then top right corner click on iGoogle and you can get onto msn on there

Or just fuck Live Messenger and get msn Messenger 7.5 which is just before Live I think.

MSN Messenger 7.5 makes me update or else i cant sign in. And when i update it goes back to the newest MSN Live Messenger...

MSN is so fucked, when I used it I used to get error messages all the time saying stuff and no fix would ever work then eventually it would magically work again one day
