Is Islam still really a peaceful religion

It can be a peaceful religion and the minority tarnish the image for the majority who practise islam and are very good people but you do have to question this:

If it's such a peaceful religion why don't these good majority of Islamists come out and show the world they don't support this? You rarely ever see protests or big movements of the majority of these peaceful islamists protesting for the peaceful religion they tell the world about. Showing everyone they DO NOT support the movements of these extremist and mad inhumane acts of violence on other people. Makes you think.

The countries with the most refugees in the world are ALL islamic nations. Food for thought...
