        He did name his son Joseph though, maybe it was a friend of his? I didn't think about that.

          Well the letter says that the Wilhelm II. gave a special medal to joseph scheven in 1918 if that helps you
          Interesting cause it was like 2 months before the war ended and your grandfather didnt fight for germany lol

            Can you read the words on the back of it in the second picture? I couldn't figure out if it was a name or something else.
