It appears to me as if the media, radio, magazines, hip hop blogs etc forced us to like them. As if they told us so many times that this is good music until we agreed. Sort of like brainwashing us to like them.
I don't know the reason for it but I really wish the trend of meaningless music would stop. Although it's probably more of a permanent thing than a trend.
You have to wade through a ton of crap to find a song that actually has a point. Or any real meaning to it. They're getting shallower instead of deeper
