If Lil Wayne is a Bad influence for kids then 75% of Rappers are too!I've listened too Wayne since I was 11, never wore red flags out my pocket, I just looked at it as entertainment. That's the problem with the parents, they're not telling their kids it's entertainment. I remember when I was 12 I said I was going to get a tear drop tattoo and be in a gang. My Uncle grabbed me up, and lifted me up by my shirt and told me if he ever saw me in a gang he was going lay my ass out, realtalk.Then my mother told me you can listen to T.I and Wayne, but as long as you know it's entertainment.


It's that simple, I would let my kids listen too explicit rap lyrics, as long as they know not to follow everything they say.

If anything I would tell them too be Successful like the rappers.

This. Plus, Wayne's lyrics aren't all about "I kill this guy and then I rape her and then I smoke this". He's EXTREMELY clever with ALL of his lyrics and the stereotypical lyrics are also very well put together.

ffs, Wayne might not spit about the most pleasant things but its just entertainment, and thats why hes the best, now look at him outside the music industry, he's a good example of a family man AND i remember when he was doing that 'Get Schooled' campaign which he was encouraging young people to stay in school...

And do you remember when he got convicted of gun possession and served 8 months in jail?

I think whenever people want to generalize a bad statement about rappers they use Wayne, that really isn't fair on his part though. I can see what Lupe was saying,but even Wayne himself has said that he isn't to be used as an example for a way of living.

Yeah true, they pick Wayne because he is a pretty big artist and a lot of kids look to him right now, but it's still not fair.

Well I really hate this. Lil Wayne has put MANY positive messages in his music, and Lupe Fiasco is just jealous because his songs have never played on the radio. I've been a fan of Lil Wayne since I was REALLY young and he hasn't influenced me to do anything bad. Please reply to me and tell me ONE THING Lil Wayne could influence on children.
