Originally posted by @LILTONECHI View PostKendrick Lamar is overrated, that nigga is wack, straight up.
He's wack because he says only "The Hot Boys" Wayne Era inspired him, when he speaks about Wayne. But then the nigga KDott goes & makes a Mixtape "C4" out of "The Carter III" & has hopped on other different Wayne beats too, even sampled him before. Obviously Wayne had huge impact on Kendrick. Wayne knew him before he blew up too, around the Jay Rock "All My Life In The Ghetto".
Anyways Kendrick dont keep it real for being afraid to acknowledge Wayne is his favorite rapper.
Kendrick won't last in Hip Hop, he'll fall off, he already did, he's been around, he reached his peak & now it's all downhill from now.
GKMC isn't a classic, it's just the only album that's had a concept in awhile so people go crazy because they haven't seen that or heard that in awhile.
Especially the new generation, the generation that thinks Kendrick Lamar is Hip Hop's new savior & that like 2 Chainz & all these other wack rappers out here. FOH, Rap has been wack since Wayne got off his prime. Currently there is no one in rap that has Hip Hop like Wayne did a few years ago, not even Wayne himself & he knows that. That's why he Skates now, there is no competition in Hip Hop anymore. We got Wayne's best songs because Jay-Z used to be on top once & we all know Jay-Z inspired Wayne when he was coming up & if you don't know that now you know. Jay-Z doesn't make as much music now like he used, so therefore Wayne doesn't have compettition anymore. UGK also inspired Wayne but Pimp C is gone. This is the reason Wayne doesn't try anymore, it's not the same game he came into.
Believe it or not but Jay-Z is the reason why we got the best Wayne music, Weezy wanted to beat him & he did in every catagory. Weezy is the best to ever do it as an Overall rapper ever.
No Competition = The Wayne we've been getting.
Then again, you didn't once explain why Kendrick was "wack"; you just said he was.
Secondly, you've just admitted to liking a second tier rapper - Wayne might not be trying anymore, other are. Go listen to them. Unless you're Stanning, that is.

"but Wayne is his Favorite Rapper. You just don't waste lyrics on a whole mixtape based off another rapper's album. You just don't."
If you listened to GKMC and Section.80, you would have heard Keisha's Song and The Art of Peer Pressure. Two very powerful songs with very deep messages. Both of these songs are in direct correlation to 2Pac's songs, Brenda's Got a Baby and Shorty Wanna Be a Thug. Kendrick's favourite rapper and the biggest inspiration for him is 2Pac, plain and simple, Kendrick will tell you that and his fans will tell you that. Kendrick definitely has a huge influence from Wayne, I'm not denying that, but Kendrick's subject matter in his albums were never inspired by Wayne. You can't say that Kendrick preaching about gang violence and the over indulgence in drug and alcohol abuse in the music industry is from Wayne.
Also Kendrick has never done anything after C4 relating to Wayne.
Jay is obviously Wayne's favourite rapper, but Wayne's inspiration comes from many other people as well. Count how many times Wayne puts Jay lines in his songs and then compare that to how many times Wayne quotes Biggie, the numbers aren't even close.
This is a stupid argument, we are both very deep Wayne fans, we shouldn't be arguing about little shit like this.Last edited by Bill Laimbeer; 03-06-2013, 11:10 AM.

King Kendrick Lamar is gonna continue to win...he had arguably the best rap albums two years running..gonna win a grammy soon..gonna be atleast top 4 on MTV list and this is his rookie debut...plus his Discography is better than most rappers..
KLEP
Overly Dedicated
Section 80
GKMC
He has never released a bad project...rarely a bad verse...dude is just consistent....plus he about to go platinum in this day and age..for a rapper that didnt compromise his sound and make a pop single to sell records..that's pretty dope...The underground respects him and the mainstream does as well...wake up..even if you don;t like him your favorite rapper does...Mississippi x California x North Carolina
