    Re: Lil' Wayne > Tupac

yeh i see ur point, but think about this for a min, what competition did pac have compared to wayne?
but there completely different rappers, and wayne is more known about his "money, guns, weed, girls" songs, and not known for his deep lyrical songs (which pisses me off) but ye cant compare, both incredible rappers

      dont even try.

worst thing is, a bunch of this cats claiming Wayne as G_O_A_T and havent heard one-third of Tupac's songs. or even delved deeper into the man and message that was Tupac Amaru Shakur.

love them both. be grateful they gave us so much. and enjoy it. fuck
      thats what he said!

Damn. I don't even know where to begin. Should I be proud at the fact that gangster rap is dead and irrelevant? Or depressed, due to the fact that today's generation of hip-hop fans don't recognize the legends of the game? BTW, I doubt that dude was trying to compare 'Pac with Wayne. He was stating that he believes Wayne is better than 'Pac. I'm sure many teenagers that don't know the history of rap, think the same. Hell, I've only heard one Rakim song and many consider the old nigga a legend.

agreed, its almost always pointless when the rappers you're comparing have two totally different styles..

So I think that speaks for itself.
co sign. if Wayne was worth to be in this game before Tupac that would make Wayne look like sh**, why? because now the rap game has somebody who's actually rapping about real things, things that's taking place now. Example, we in war with Irap but the economy is down Tupac once said "they got money for wars but can't feed the poor". Tupac was rapping things before it happened. Wayne can't survive one day in Tupac shoes. Wayne couldn't even handle people talking about him doing lean, Tupac dealt with way harder stuff.
i agree with most of that but since when couldn't wayne not handle the talk about him and lean

2pac speaked out over the people that run the rap game they couldn't have it so they killed him.
and i dunno nothing about wayne not handling people talking about him drinking some sizzurp.
But what i am trying to say is wayne may be the best rapper alive but 2pac is the realest rapper ever.

                        Re: Lil' Wayne > Tupac

the majority of rappers ever interviewed since pac's death will say pac has been a huge influence on them becoming a rapper. rappers such as eminem, q-tip, mos def, talib kwali have all said this. these people are a lot better than wayne. wayne doesnt do that for rappers now. yeah wayne works hard but his records dont make an impact that pacs did. how does anyone with any clue or knowledge about hip-hop dare say that wayne is better than biggie or pac.

and wayne isnt the best rapper a live now. in my opinion there are many rappers that are better than wayne. eminem would destroy wayne at anytime. 2 pac also died at 24...he had only been in hiphop with a deal for 5 years!!!!!!! wayne has been in hiphop since he was 15! if wayne had died after only 5 years in the game he would have never made the impact tupac had. if tupac was a live today and had actually been able to be in this game for 10-15 years then his impact would have been a million times more than wayne could ever achieve.

now before everyone on here goes and calls me a "hater" i am a huge wayne fan but wayne is no where near to being the GOAT or the best rapper alive and anyone with a sense of what "hip-hop" is would agree

                          Re: Lil' Wayne > Tupac

and having different "styles" is not a good excuse. tupac consistantly had substance and was speaking on issues that affected all of us... poverty, crime, the economy, family issues, ect....stuff we can actually relate too. idk about everyone on here but its very hard for me to relate to having a bugati with blunts and women whenever i please and my 3 houses and endless supply of money and jewlry...
