For example how many times has Wayne dropped a line referencing being "in the building"...To hear it once or twice is cool, but we've heard lines with that a lot more, doesn't that show Wayne may be running out of ideas or he's getting way too lazy with his music?

Or it could just show that he was about to go to jail and was rushing shit, not putting the time he needs to into his music... At least that's what I'm hoping for lol. He shouldn't run out of ideas, as long as new things are happening in the world there will always be things for him to talk about

Why would he rush so many songs though? Surely you would spend more time and quality on a few songs to release or they could have given us C2 or C3 left overs cause you know there will be some that may have probably been more album worthy? The fact they gave us the songs they did on IANAHB makes me think they wern't rushed and they all thought the songs were good enough to do fairly big numbers with little promotion. I hope I'm wrong but I know what I'm saying makes sense lol.

That's a reasonable theory too, and tbh I would've rather heard those than IANAHB (although it did have some good tracks). Personally I've never been on the verge of going to prison lol, but I would guess that it's hard to focus on your work and what not with that always hanging over you. The little we've heard of him since he got out has been better than what he released right before he went in imo, which has to be a good sign. None of the "in the building" or other boring lines that he had been using too much. And some really good punchlines and wordplay I thought

Yeah I do completely agree. I mean we will never know if he will end up falling off by 2012 or not. It's possible he will and it's possible he won't. He seems sharper lyrically since his release but I want to hear a full solo track before I make a judgement on if he's still the same as just before jail or if he really is better now. It would be easier for Wayne to fall off as well seeing as his success hasn't been going as long as someone such as Jay-Z or Nas but Wayne can pull out magic and be a perfectionist when he has to and I think he knows he has to for C4. I don't think any artist would want to go from a million a week rap album to a 100k a week rap album in terms of sales. Whether it was promoted or not, that's a huge gap in sales between the two and will surely hit a nerve with Weezy.

With it taking a while I think it may be the first single or a street single to do with C4, I think he will just go straight in with C4 shit, no random tracks just straight in with the album to show everyone that when Wayne decides to put in everything he has to an album it will be an amazing album.

I think/hope you're right. I want to hear that first track from him and know he has that fire and hunger to be the best and shut up all the haters again. I know he has it in him, there's no reason he can't put out another great album. He's set a high standard for himself with Tha Carter series and I expect CIV to be on the same level as the first 3.
