Weezy along with most mainstream rap artists (not all but the majority) bring down the quality of rap music and continuously lower the bar in expectations for artist to create an all around good track or album. Let alone a good message for today's youth and children growing up listening to rap/hip hop. And this then portrays rap music and rap artist to all be the same shallow money hungry sell outs that is today's rap/hip hop, therefore someone not familiar with rap/hip hop will think "If he's the most popular and most successful rap artist with these lyric and message, why would I even want to listen to this garbage anyway?" And something else that I don't get is how with famous people or famous role models, is how only certain groups of celebrities and artists are held to different standards. How is it that a rapper like Weezy can say what he says and write what he writes but isn't held to a standard like other celebrities and sports players are. You know in today's society rap/hip hop is a huge influence on our culture and generation, yer people like Weezy, 50 cent, Chris Brown just to name a few are put up on a pedestal and admired. That life is good to you no matter what you do or how you act its fine as long as you create a trendy song that tops the charts it doesn't even have to convey a positive message, let alone a message at all. any other message than money drugs and treating woman as objects. If you don't include those things or violence then your song or album is going absolutely no where.

He may be an alt and trolling but he makes some good points. Why is it that Wayne can talk about the most depraved, violent stuff whilst others leaders cannot?
For example, Jay z cannot rap the same as before anymore. His misogynistic lyrics are now chastised, the way he said 'get your own dog ya heard?nthats my bitch'. In no way is that as bad as Wayne saying 'whoever is hitting ain't hitting it right cause she act like she need dick in her life'.
The world is a fickle place. We now see Jay z as a married man, a family man, as something to strive for and be like. To hear him rapping mysoginistically is disappointing, but with Wayne, he hasn't changed he is always the same.
If you are dense enough to listen to a single artist or song from a genre and judge the entire genre based on one song or one artist, you don't deserve to enjoy the beautiful music that hip hop has. I'm not fussed with people dismissing rap music based on a small group of misogynistic rappers. That's their problem.
As for rappers not being held to the same standard as actors or sports men, consider a rapper like an actor. Their job is to craft stories and entertain. If denzel Washington sells drugs in a movie, or gets drunk and crashes a plane, it's nothing to do with Denzel as a person. If Wayne beats up a vagina in a song, he is playing a part. It doesn't mean he does it in real life..
I'll let you know what I think about him writing lyrics down once I hear some of his written material. I think its pretty silly to call him lazy though. Its well known that he's one of, if not the hardest working rapper in the game right now.
