Choosing the best tracks as bonuses is a smart move but they should also make sure the deluxe version is available worldwide. I'm sure not everybody knows about the deluxe and they'll just go and buy the standard version when it's available. Then, even if the deluxe appears later not many people will buy a second copy, only the biggest fans I guess.

I'm writing this from a non-US fan perspective, seeing that there is only the standard version preorder which is doing really well, I'm sure many of these people would decide to pay a few more bucks to get more tracks, if only they had a choice. A few years ago I didn't have a credit card and paypal and had to buy stuff available locally and many people are still in such situation. Therefore, YMCM will make less money than they possibly could.

I'm not saying it's Tez's fault but it is somehow related to the bonus tracks issue.

I think Wayne's entire team needs an overhaul tbh. He needs the people around him to push him beyond his limits and unlock what he's truly capable of doing. Instead, he's just surrounded by a bunch of "yes men" who praise anything and everything he does. Tez is not entirely to blame, but he shoulders a lot of the responsibility.

As far as putting a lot of great tracks on the deluxe editions, it's ludicrous (Luda! ). We didn't even hear those exclusive tracks until the album dropped, so why not put the lesser songs (i.e. John, How to Hate) as the exclusives? Hell, all the Top 40 fans dig T-Pain, so they would have copped the deluxe. As far as Wayniacs go, it's extra music and we're going to buy it anyway!

Unfortunately, as long as it's YMCMB, they'll focus on the paper.

It's hard to know what the extent of the damages are. It's easy to say he's done well for his crew, but at the same time it's possible a better manager would've done even more... that sort of thinking is all hypothetical.
