Kendrick Lamar. C4, WTT and RED dropped this summer, i mean those albums have had buzz for years(except WTT).

Simply enough: no. Drug-free Weezy is no joke, and he's impressed me more than I actually expected. But he's clearly not the same dude. Every line feels more forced, more thought-out. It's not a free-for-all, just fucking snap off, kill the beat in one take situation anymore. He's much more deliberate than he used to be, and that takes away from the smoothness and spontaneity of his verses. I'd say sober Wayne is still top 5. I feel that much of what he's lost is difficult to describe, probably more swag than skill.

this hits closer to home than most anything.
but i dont think its as drug related as people make it seem.
the weed obviously helps with creativity. but hes been rapping.
for way too long now to be putting this bullshit flows together.

more than anything. i think its a case.
of him dumbing down his style.
for this new wider audience.
that he has. where a lot of these new fans.
rap isnt their preferred genre. so it almost has.
to be slowed down for them to understand it.
