I think your're getting a little too exact with the meaning of mainstream music.[/QUOTE]
Maybe but I think its crazy to say C1 and C2 aren't mainstream. Mainstream isn't a bad thing it's just the truth.FRESH ON CAMPUS

And to your other post, yeah. Hustler Musik & Go D. J. were mainstream songs.
Especially Go D. J.. It was one of those overplayed songs where you got tired of hearing it on the radio
And like TCG said, it's not a bad thing as long as it's good music."Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless
Guns and stretchers
Cristal and dubs for breakfast
I just got one suggestion - none should test him
'Cause cuz get hectic; send one through your sons intestines
Glocks knock lungs from chests, you get the portrait?
Bodies piled up on porches, it won't be gorgeous"

If your song gets played on 106 & Park it's mainstream for sure lol
Originally posted by Vocker View PostSo ur saying if the song makes it, goes to the radio, a lot of ppl listen to it. It's mainstream?
But even some songs that don't make the radio (For example, Blunt Blowin', MegaMan, hell, the whole Tha Carter IV) are mainstream. Because of the fact it's Lil' Wayne and people will listen to Lil' Wayne
Maino is a mainstream rapper, Immortal Technique is notLast edited by Tunechi Lionches; 02-18-2012, 02:33 PM."Armed and dangerous, rich and famous, young and restless

Mainstream is a song that has a pop influence to it, like how to love, mirror.....ect.
Btw if a song isn't "mainstream" that doesn't make it an "underground" song...just putting that out. LolOriginally posted by ShakeWhy so negative all the time???

Non mainstream isn't underground but Dancing with the Devil was underground.. He's independent so it wasn't a label that pushed people to hear it. He's doing his own marketing through the people which is what I consider underground.FRESH ON CAMPUS
