He made almost every track unique, he didn't just have that "let me go ham on this track and on to the next" mentality.

Minus the shitty singles(except a milli) would you have rated C3 higher?
Minus the singles, La La & Phone Home, I would like it better, but it'd still be disappointing a tad bit. I'd give it about a 3.9 mics outta 5.

I honestly don't see the reason for the hate on CIII.

And what SQ tape(s) do you think is/are better than NC?
I don't think any are "better" but SQ6 is almost right with it. And i'm with you, I don't care for the SQ series.

It just disappointed me and everyone else who loved Da Drought III. I just expected a lot better... I still like the Sessions, A Milli, Comfortable, Shoot Me Down, 3 Peat, You Ain't Got Nothing, Mr. & Dr. Carter & Tie My Hands.

So you basically hate the songs that made the sales skyrocket? I understand.

Exactly. Almost every single was overplayed, I just got fed up with it.

Think you should give the tape a relisten.....this tape alone can convert Wayne haters. We don't even need to bring C2, DD3 or Suffix into discussion.

It's not really that. A milli made his sales skyrocket but he still liked the song. Lollipop was a shitty song(imo), got money chorus was kinda catchy but not C3 material, ect. ect.

Lol I see what you saying.
I only liked Green Ranger, Cashed Out, So Dedicated & Magic. It needed better beats, two more features on Mercy (felt incomplete to me. I really wanted a Drizzy verse or Tyga?...), a little less sexual punchlines, better lyricism & more skits. It just didn't feel like a Dedication mixtape. It felt like a NC 2 or S4TW 2, IMO. The amount of energy he had on the tape was incredible, glad to see that he somewhat cares for spitting still. But, those are my gripes. 2.75 mics outta 5.

The tape is good, but the greatest? Never. I've been listening to it a lot recently, it's just not my favorite. And it didn't convert a lot of Wayne haters I knew... They say his only good works are his Drought III mixtape, first two Dedication mixtapes, and the first two Carters. It's not one of the first things i'd show to a person who wanted to assassinate Wayne, but it'd be one of them.

                        I don't think it's overrated at all.

Like Breezy said, it brought the haters back, the people that were sick of the decline that began in 08.

It was good for it's time.

It is one of his best mixtapes in my opinion. Some may not think that.

But in the direction he is going now, I would say it is.

Who knows, Weezy always changes his style every project.

Maybe his next mixtape will put No Ceilings and D4 to shame, you never know.

                          OldLilWayne,

I did NOT say in my post that it was GOAT material! But I'd still rank NC in a higher tier than say, LWA, D3 and SQ 1-6 Remixes.

You must fuck with some hardcore Nas/Eminem/MF DOOM/Immortal Tech stans because NC isn't anywhere near weak.
