Hip Hop's Current State... (question about Wayne)

With artists like J.Cole dropping Born Sinner, Drake's hype for NWTS, and Kendrick Lamar's verse on Control just going hard...

Any of you think this might wake the inner beast inside Wayne up? I'm just hoping they keep going wild hard and Wayne just sees huge competition again.

On a side note, Kendrick's verse in Control sounded like a form of old Wayne in a sense.

I say without the names, the buzz around that verse drops dramatically. Sure, let's hope it inspires Wayne to jump in the studio and read a list of the hottest names at the moment.

You are talking about Lil Wayne sir. Lil Wayne if you are familiar with his personality in hip hop, he is a competitor & I believe he said that in D2 before he went in on a song as a skit or just talking in the beginning prior to going in, just listen to D2 if you don't know what I mean. Anyways, he doesn't feel like he has to snap because he is Lil Wayne, he sees no competition just like how Michael sees Kobe as no competition. Wayne is a Micheal, these other rappers Kobe's mimicking Micheal's(Wayne's) moves. Lil Wayne been going hard way longer than these new school cats that have only dropped 1 or 2 albums considering themselves already better than anyone whose ever done it already.

Wayne doesn't need that one verse, song, Mixtape or album to show he's the best because he's Career already proves it.

To me Wayne is done & he's slowly drifting away out of Hip-Hop. What more do you want from this man? I mean he doesn't have any hunger now. He's rich successful at the top of the world Wayne, not the Hollygrove hungry Wayne. & That's okay because he outdid himself.

I was thinking this. Wayne changed Hip Hop in a sense of pushing out music at a faster pace, variety of flows, having lyrics that flies over people's heads, and being creative with lyrics.

But I think it's pushing to how it used to be; lyrically. It'd be interesting to hear Wayne be extremely lyrical again.

Only thing is that Wayne's on tour. So he prolly hasn't even heard or thought about the song.

Idk you never know with Wayne really... I don't think this will really "inspire" him to rap his ass off though. Unless he doesn't like the fact Kendrick didn't mention his name in the top 5. More than likely if he even hears the verse he'll just think it was dope and move on.

Kendrick should've called the South out like he did NY.. NY hasn't been shit for a long time. If he said he's the "King of the South" which has been dominating hip-hop I'm sure Weezy would've felt some type of way.
