Wayne already proved he's the best...let the newer comers like KDot, Drizzy, Cole....ect have their turn..
Y'all remember Wayne's verse on Hollywood Divorce? Wayne murders Andre, Big Boi, and Snoop all on one song like its nothing lol...
Wayne's preformance in BET awards when he ends it up with "I Am Hip Hop" and everybody goes wild.
In Dr Carter he ends his verse with "Hip Hop, I saved your life"
Songs like "The Best Rapper Alive".
Wayne doesn't need to do what he already done....he already accomplished it all before and much more.
Dude even made Em go and say that he was jealous on how hard Wayne was spitting when he wasn't...lol

Lil Wayne if you are familiar with his personality in hip hop, he is a competitor & I believe he said that in D2 before he went in on a song as a skit or just talking in the beginning prior to going in, just listen to D2 if you don't know what I mean. Anyways, he doesn't feel like he has to snap because he is Lil Wayne, he sees no competition just like how Michael sees Kobe as no competition. Wayne is a Micheal, these other rappers Kobe's mimicking Micheal's(Wayne's) moves. Lil Wayne been going hard way longer than these new school cats that have only dropped 1 or 2 albums considering themselves already better than anyone whose ever done it already.
Wayne doesn't need that one verse, song, Mixtape or album to show he's the best because he's Career already proves it.
To me Wayne is done & he's slowly drifting away out of Hip-Hop. What more do you want from this man? I mean he doesn't have any hunger now. He's rich successful at the top of the world Wayne, not the Hollygrove hungry Wayne. & That's okay because he outdid himself.
But to answer your question, no.

Kendrick should've called the South out like he did NY.. NY hasn't been shit for a long time. If he said he's the "King of the South" which has been dominating hip-hop I'm sure Weezy would've felt some type of way.
This.
Not sure that Weezy would have replied but it certainly would have been a bigger statement given the current flavor of hiphop

This feels a lot like how Wayne started saying he was the best rapper alive. As much as we all would like Wayne to be inspired again I'm not sure if anybody else can inspire him. Especially since him and Kendrick have such a good relationship. I feel like Wayne is kind of ready to pass the torch on too the new guys. If Wayne were to respond It would definitely feel like the other guy said a Jordan who is past his Prime trying to play with a young Kobe.
