I like that Wayne verse on that Take care song but it's too short for me to listen to it. I can't endure young thug. He just sounds like a bad tribute act to the 2008 era auto tune Wayne.

Tbh none of the singles, even Gotti, are imo worthy of being C5. They just look rushed. Like Waynes just taking anybeat and jumping on it with out any clear direction. Gotti had a theme, sure, but it wasn't on the level of a Dr. Carter or something like that. Most tracks on C3 and C4 sound like they were well thought out. Im not feeling that for any of waynes tracks this year. Theyre just songs i can listen to for a few weeks cuz thats the only new material out...but most of us are still listening to C3 and C2 and Go DJ, Fireman, etc, even after all these years. I dont think anyone is gonna listen to "Take Kare" or "Believe Me" 5 years from now on. If you look at GKMD, there was a theme to not just each individual song, but to the whole album itself. As a result, it was prob the best album that year. And as for sales, Wayne needs a club superhit like Lollipop or Got Money or How to Love. And tbh, waynes not at that level right now, i have to admit, where people are gonna listen to him even if he has a track with a Chief Keef-like verse. He needs a superstar, justin bieber, bruno, someone like that to make a single before C5. I honestly dont think Mirror would have 300,000,000 views on youtube if Bruno wasnt in it. So for publicity, i think he needs a song like that that can reach out to a much wider audience rather than to just hiphopheads

Relax bro. You think Wayne put thought in to 6 foot 7 foot, blunt blowin, megaman? Mirror and how to love helped him sell, but he doesn't NEED to sell. Wayne is a different artist now. He isn't so much a hit maker as the icing on the cake. Bandz a make her dance, he coasted on juicy j and 2 chainz, but then delivered the best verse. His promo is WOAT but just give him the benefit of the doubt in terms of the record.. He might drop something like D5 and shut the game down

3. We're only getting street singles cause that's who this albums for..the core fans not the fans who bought the album cause it has some huge pop star ft..you're looking for C5 to be a commercial album when Wayne wants it to be for the fans/street not for pop charts..in the wise words of drizzy drake

I didn't buy or listen to IANAHB2 until months after it came out and I'm a massive Wayne fan. It's only when I heard about C5 that I started coming back on these forums and shit.

I agree with what yall said, but look at it this way. People still listen to All Eyez on me or ready to die, C2, or even GKMC because those are timeless albums. So far, none of the singles can be considered timeless. On one side, you got "If you don't love yourself, I'll make you see your own heart", and on one side, you have "Bitch Im cool, Coolio"... Im sure the hype was big when C4 was about to come, im sure people were digging the singles then too. But what happened? How often do you listen to C4 nowadays?? Its the same thing with this. C1 was wayne's beginning, C2 was his growth, C3 was his rise to the top, idk wtf C4 was...and if C5 is supposed to top it all off..do you think ANY of the singles for C5 besides Gotti can even compete with the first three Carters?
