The needle in the haystack refers to the talent that he has on the mic, and the fact that it's almost impossible to find a needle in a haystack means it's almost impossible to find someone like him, which ties in with his Birdman disses, cause he is explaining how hard it will be for Birdman to replace him

I dunno about the second. I think the wound refers to the problems he is having with cash money. He tried to sort it out,mor stitch the problem up, but he bled through, meaning he couldn't fix it, the wound was too deep (it's family after all).

Could also be a bloods reference

imo both have to do with Cash Money. him finding a needle in a haystack was in reference to him getting that small window of opportunity in the 90s when he got that chance to even sign with Cash Money, then he continues with putting a thread through (and ties this into a sewing illustration/metaphor) to stitch the wound he got after the deep cut Cash Money has given him for snaking him out (his current situation) and ended up just bleeding.
