If you ask me, removing the bias we all have as Wayne fans, Drake is definitely a bigger persona now than Wayne was in 2008.
this sums it up almost perfectly for me too...
Plus the fact that Wayne never changed his style to fit in a social norm , he never became the clean cut smartass guy or something. He was always himself , and that turned out to be a curse (but a bless too , as he was not even human , he was a martial :p). Drake is trying to change himself too , and yea it is a wise move , he seems more badass like that , it's all about marketing though , that's how modern capitalism etc work).

oh man , the arrogance and the high profile that drake cultivates through the song , plus the video and the other celebrities "appearing" on it were a reason...But when i went into the comments everyone was praising him , some hated to admit it but drake seems like he can do no wrong...Damn.

his whole look/approach to it definitely helps to.....someone commented on it before but drake is a clean cut looking guy, dresses clean no visible tattoos with clothes on, social media and companies will be more likely to ask to endorse him or give him deals than they would wayne.....who has tattoos goddamn everywhere on his body and dresses (dressed) like a gangster...

i would definitely say though that drake has changed to a rapper that is all about making hits...i haven't heard anything like a take care kind of song drake in years, he's all about making catchy club songs now imo, sticks to the same formula and doesn't venture out much from it

people take drake as a hiphop God or something. personally i dont even consider him a clean cut rapper. its just a matter of time before we start seeing articles online about "drakes fall to grace" or shit like that. it happens to every fucking rapper.
The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done... you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do.

Wayne is legend. Drake is not a legend. Drake is just really, really good and successful right now. If he can do 10 more years of what he is doing now, then he will be legend, and equal with Wayne.

Don't yall get that Wayne has been in the game for 20 years, and he is relevant for over 15 years already..
Drake been here for what, 5 years?

He has lot to do before he even reaches Wayne level.

This year social media have already been behind Future and Drake is still going strong

Hmm, in my book, he can't be legend yet.. Only few rappers are actually living legends of hip hop, and imo, that's not drake, kendrick or cole.. 5+years, and he will be legend..10+ years and he will reach weezy level

No one touching 07-08 Weezy hype. He was the only rapper people listened to, because he was on every song on the radio lol

So true, even with R&B singers. I don't think Drake will ever be as big as Wayne during his peak
