well...it what it is. another mixtape, doesnt strike me as very special. same formula as always.. wayne could really use a change in format, and for the love of his music, an executive producer.
i think he could also ease up.. his relentlessness is awesome, but i think its getting in the way of his music. hes always been word obsessive, but think if he would slow down, and improve his melodies; that could go a long way.
think hes filling the slower, more melodic spaces, a lot better than the hard trap raps right now. those beats and him feel tired to me right now.
think the entry on Poppin shows what young thug has over wayne right now. thats as clear a difference between them you can hear, wayne warbles out this off key no ceilings.. meanwhile young thug wouldve made that sound amazing..
idk.. theres a few songs here and there, that are pretty cool. but outside of solid raps, im not sure what else is interesting about this tape.. especially w future having done so many of these songs better..
