well...it what it is. another mixtape, doesnt strike me as very special. same formula as always.. wayne could really use a change in format, and for the love of his music, an executive producer.

i think he could also ease up.. his relentlessness is awesome, but i think its getting in the way of his music. hes always been word obsessive, but think if he would slow down, and improve his melodies; that could go a long way.

think hes filling the slower, more melodic spaces, a lot better than the hard trap raps right now. those beats and him feel tired to me right now.

think the entry on Poppin shows what young thug has over wayne right now. thats as clear a difference between them you can hear, wayne warbles out this off key no ceilings.. meanwhile young thug wouldve made that sound amazing..

idk.. theres a few songs here and there, that are pretty cool. but outside of solid raps, im not sure what else is interesting about this tape.. especially w future having done so many of these songs better..

i mean, you can almost take any young thug song.. where he enters of a melody like that.. and see how hes much much better at it. when thug does it..it sounds like the beginning of a song, and the movement begins from there.


yeah.. i just cut on slime season 2 right now.. and theres no doubt it. thug is filling up the space, in a lot more pleasant way. hes got better production, and hes in a better creative space. he'll never be the word for word rapper/lyricist wayne is.. but hes making better music right now. for sure.

ppl dont understand that he is reinventing his style that future, young thug stole. And right now he is experimenting with it. hence the signing and being off key on some songs. We all know the man can spit bars , and metaphors and can actually rap hence destroyed, too young, the hills. I think most people don't understand that part of the tape. It's not the best wayne project but a real fan can fuck with it for sure if you listen and take the music for what it is instead of criticizing a GOAT

I agree. I hate that guys like fetty wap, young thug, and future get praised but Wayne gets criticized. Fetty wap says the same thing in every song. Sometimes you can't even understand what he's saying. Future and young thug the same way. I just don't understand

Idk why people aren't allowed to criticize or have an objective opinion on this tape without being accused of not being a "real Wayne fan"... As many have stated its okay definitely some highlights but for the most part pretty boring to me. Some songs had the auto tune sounding like D3 which was dope but on others it sounded terrible. Definitely appreciative of another mixtape I just wish Wayne really say down took his time and put together a legit project
