I’ve been a fan of Wayne since hot boys days... did I miss the 2nd peak? Lmao cus to my knowledge he only peaked once. From 05-09. Carter 4 was not peak Wayne and I love Carter 4. Tbh no artist will never technically “peak” again there is only 1 peak. Em peaked. 50 peaked. Drake peaked. There is only 1 peak.

Michael Jackson Thriller is his peak. Jay Z Blueprint is his peak. Eminem The Eminem show is his peak.... doesn’t matter how big an album coming out is about to sell. Yea sftw and C4 were great... but C3 was the highest Wayne will ever get and he’ll never be able to top that... I don’t think we’ll ever see an artist get that big again atleast I haven’t hip hop wise...and no I’m not sayin C3 is his best work because imo it’s C2/Like Father Like Son.. but he peaked at C3. Maybe you need to look up the definition of “peak” again.
Weezy peaked with C3 dipped for a bit with rebirth re gained some balance with No Ceilings went prison and there was TONS of hype around him and he came back very strong with C4 starting his second peak
you even stated it has nothing to do with music quality so in that case we can categorise hype as being a significant factor

Well then we need to change the definition of peak then. Cus to my knowledge PEAK is the highest you can ever get and there’s no other option then to go down... and to juicemans point Juicy J don’t count cus back in 2012-2013 in school I remember people not knowing him from 3 6 mafia they legit thought he was a new artist... if we’re talking Juicy j solo he has already peaked in 2013... and your an idiot for saying Eminem peaked twice.. I want you to tell me when has Eminem ever gotten as big as he did in 2002 with Eminem Show and 8 mile ? That’s a peak. He won’t ever get that big again. As for 2 Chainz.. he peaked in 2012. Just because an artist comes and makes some noise again guys doesn’t mean they are fucking peaking again. Good lord. Lil Wayne will never be big as he got back in 07/08 ever again plain and simple. He’s a legend leave it alone. Same with Drake, while he’s still huge he’s peaked already and a legend.

we can call it a "spike" then lol Eminem spiked with Recovery and Juicy J is a perfect example of multiple "spikes"
if we want to check on stats then according to interest via google (aka where everyone sources there information
https://trends.google.com/trends/exp...=%2Fm%2F016kjs
we can see that 2011 saw a massive growth in interest as well as the C3 era and strangely IANAHB2 era
also if we look at Eminem
https://trends.google.com/trends/exp...%2Fm%2F01vsgrn it confirms my point that he also "spiked" during recovery era
the way i see it an artist has an ultimate "PEAK" that solidifies there position in music and where the most important shaping of that artist occurs (eg C3)
then any "SPIKE" afterwards is particular hype/expectation around particular projects Wayne very clearly spiked twice so there you goLast edited by Zimmie; 12-09-2017, 06:15 AM.
