A lot of arguing in this thread lmao but I agree with both sides of it. Wayne ain't what he used to be, and NC3 was just NOT it lol sorry. Side B especially. But ppl here be sleeping on C5/D6 era i swearrr. The argument seems to be that his delivery kinda mid but tbh I think yall just comparing it to his prime stuff. I'm a newer wayne fan so i heard C5 before most of his prime stuff actually and idk it never really bothered me. The lyricism and substance kinda stole my attention away.
As for FUNERAL which is what the thread is on, i feel its overhated by some but overall it ain't a bad album? Just a lot of fillers and messy with all the styles thrown in it (which has already been said multiple times). I definitely don't play it as much compared to other Weezy. And someone said something about Wayne missing the "human" element from his music. Funeral defo misses it in multiple songs. That being said I always felt funeral was more mixtape style than album so maybe that's due to the reason. It was never made to be something with much effort put into it.
